12/9/2009 · Hey guys, I’ve been fiddling with Ableton for a fairly brief amount of time time now and I noticed that I can choose between WAVE and DX outputs. I understand DX has something to do with DirectX (or maybe I don’t understand that correctly), but I was wondering if someone could please EILI_NotFluentInAudioEngineering.

1/16/2021 · In ableton for the MME directx drivers audio out/input…..it gives two options: DX and WAVE What does DX mean….what does WAVE mean…what is the difference….? I noticed that I basically cant use the WAVE option because there is way too much clicks and pops, I have confirmed that the both the wav and dx driver do this as well in ableton for the komplete audio 6 mk2. i get the same loud buzzing ring in all three drivers. The other drivers do not do this in ableton 10. Everything else sounds fine with the komplete Audio 6 including ableton 9.7. 0.

8/15/2019 · Also, even when they pay to have a DX /CA driver written, they mostly don’t need to update it for service packs and new OSs due to the driver framework. The last thing someone like Larvy or Apogee want to do is try to write high efficiency bare metal drivers.

Line In DX vs. Line In Wave For Interface I am using a focusrite scarlet 2i4 and in my studio preferences I’m given the option between dx and wave . Which one would be preferable but more importantly what are the technical definitions of each?
